Miakoda, Red Web, Gary Whale, Cloaked Cetacea

H33cm x W22cm x D13cm

Bespoke one off hollow formed hand-coiled stoneware ceramic sculpture embellished with hand decorated slip pattern and mother of pearl lustre. The Gray Whale was once critically endangered due to whaling, for being the most curious and friendly of whale species. Today these graceful ocean giants face further threat from plastic, through ingesting it and through being entanglement within it. This underlying message is embodied withinthe piece.
