Accumulative Stained Coat

Mapping A Journey Of Colour

Can we utilise micro-matter indicators to mediate issues about the air that we breathe in more tangible and accessible ways? By designing and making in a way that seeks to physically embody and graphically represent where these natural and synthetic substances occur, we can increase awareness and understanding of air pollution.

Through dying with lichens and accumulative particulates from different areas of Brighton, this functional coat maps the differing range of air quality within a city.
